AMD Athlon II X4 640
AMD Athlon II X4 640
I assembled this setup just for testing. I already had some parts, added the missing components, and ended up with the following configuration:
AMD Athlon II X4 640
Asrock 970M Pro 3 Motherboard
8GB Crucial RAM (4x2)
EVGA GTX 950 SSC GPU (from my main system)
Can it overclock? It's not my primary gaming rig, but I considered trying it just to check. Currently, it only has a Cooler Master TX3, so I'm unsure how much room there would be if I did the overclocking.
Yes, I experienced this once a few years back. I overclocked it around version 3.4 and had to boost the bus speed to roughly 225, adjusting in steps. It’s important to ensure the memory stays stable during these changes.
Note: You probably won’t see much benefit—this might not be worth the effort.
