AMD 4th generation processors B550 series

Hey everyone, I saw they ordered an AMD4 B550 DS3H board. It says it supports Gen 3 CPUs, but the one they have is actually a Ryzen 5 4600G on an AM4 4th Gen chip. Can it still work? Thanks, Warren

Both Ryzen Gen 3 and Gen 4 models run on the AM4 platform, which should function properly if the BIOS is current. I recommend reviewing the motherboard specifications page for additional details.

The board should work fine with the latest BIOS version. Unless it's using the launch BIOS from May 2020, you shouldn't have any issues.
