So mother board prices are insanely high right now and the beast option I can find for my budget right now is a b450 MSi gaming pulse that ryzen 3000 ready but it’s used and in very good condition is it worth buying or should I wait for prices to drop.

There are whispers about AMD launching new desktop Ryzen chips around mid-October, yet disregarding that, the current moment isn’t ideal for building a PC. Production lead times from China are only beginning to improve, so patience might help you cut costs. If you require a system immediately, using an older model could be a viable choice, but it’s likely wiser to wait as global conditions stabilize.

Verify the warranty status, if valid, secure it. Current PC components are likely scarce because of recent disruptions.

If it's extremely cheap, take it. If it matches typical rates from a few months back, check for a b550 before they sell out (if it's a decent deal). Prices are gradually decreasing over the coming week or two.
