I'm evaluating options for your SG10 fanless project. You're considering the X870 and X870E boards, without WiFi or RGB features. Since you won't be overclocking and have a solid 9950X with 2 nVMs, RAM at 64 GB and 5070 Ti, the ASRock X870E Taichi Lite seems like a strong fit. However, recent issues with burned CPUs make me question that choice. AI recommends alternatives like Gigabyte X870E AORUS PRO, ASUS Prime X870-P, or ASUS Crosshair HERO/ProArt Creator. When choosing among them, think about compatibility, cooling needs, and reliability.

It won't be a good fit. DDR5 heats up quite a bit, especially with the 9950X. I expect some thermal issues. You're jumping all the way from the lowest parts of the motherboard to the top end on the Asus side?

I waited for others to manage this more effectively, but what's going on? Have you noticed the case? Is the Prime X870-P truly your best option?

They included 4090 in the design and it looks fine. Official specs mention a CPU with 250W TDP and a GPU with 350W TDP. That’s a solid setup for reliable VRMs, right? What else are you curious about?

I also saw it; I've used open benches before. It doesn't look as stylish as a case, and it tends to collect dust. Plus, Prime feels quite basic.

I own the B650E model equipped with the 7800x3D and have experienced no problems.
