I'm working on assembling a new AM5 PC. When the power connector isn't connected, I see lights and fans but nothing coming out. With it plugged in, only the motherboard lights up and the power button fails to work. I've used two CPUs—7900 and 7900X—and tested each dimming port with different RAM sticks. Nothing seems to be wrong so far. I'm worried about ordering parts later since they weren't all ordered recently. Any advice would be appreciated!

Consider trying an updated BIOS first; it might resolve the problem. If that doesn't work, test with a minimal system—possibly removing the case components like the motherboard or screws—to check if the issue is hardware-related. Just the PSU, motherboard, CPU, and one RAM stick are sufficient. New Ryzen chips include built-in graphics—connect the HDMI or DP cable to the motherboard header and observe the outcome.
