Seriously I don't understand this port at all, looks like a fan plug? And SPDIF is optical, and even if there's a SPDIF plug that's not optical where do I connect the other end? And since it looks like a fan header, altho just 3 pins, could it be used for a LED case fan? Cause this case needs more fans and I have some laying around...!

You're not allowed to link a fan to that port. This header was intended for sound cards, and some older models required it for optical audio support.

Sure, I understand. You might need to purchase an additional card slot or motherboard to test it further.

The label shows 5v, data out, ground... The data out contains the digital signal, audio bits. You can purchase a holder with the connector and a cable that fits there.
