Hello, I'm interested in purchasing Grand Theft Auto V and would like to determine if it will run smoothly. My computer is a Dell Inspiron 5558 with an Intel® Core™ i3-4005U processor at 1.7GHz, a 15.6” screen, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive, and an nVIDIA GeForce GT 920M graphics card. My operating system is Ubuntu 14.04 SP1, and I also use Windows 10. Additionally, my motherboard is a Dell Inc. 0745H3, utilizing DDR3 RAM and featuring an HDD.

The game appears to perform optimally at a frame rate between 30 and slightly below 30 frames per second. Consequently, if “running well” is defined as operating at 60 frames per second, that would not be the case.

Please find a video demonstrating the same laptop playing this game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMbXAmLUaIM

The device specifications vary, with one constant being the graphics card.

Indeed, this configuration—an Asus X540LJ featuring an Intel Core i3-4005U and NVIDIA GeForce GT 920M—should perform more similarly to your specifications. You can view it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhELKYKZQbU. Comparing the two, the i5-5200U appears to deliver marginally improved performance. Sad

Similar to my laptop’s specifications, thank you. The video has been helpful now I can purchase the game on Steam during the Summer Sale.
