You included the kraken in your initial setup, which led me to suggest an AIO. I didn’t see any mention of a custom loop. Custom loops tend to be costly, though they can match or exceed the cooling performance of an AIO or air cooler. They’re often chosen more for aesthetics than for actual cooling benefits.
I haven't checked that page yet, but you can look up the Inwin 309 lite specifications on the store site to confirm support for custom loops. It sounds like a great idea to experiment with a custom loop for your 3080ti later!
It's really not necessary to buy a 3950X when your main focus is gaming. The 3700X offers double the core/thread count and a more modern design than your current CPU, all at half the cost of the 3950X. If you're still interested in upgrading, consider skipping the $300 extra for the 3900X—it provides a 12-core/24-thread setup, which is more than enough for gaming but mainly boosts multitasking. The 16 cores of the 3950X are mostly unused unless you're involved in content creation. If you're just looking to maximize performance, go with the 3700X; you likely won't notice a significant difference in your gaming experience compared to the 3700X.

This would be a significant mistake. The jump from 4790K to 3900X will be enormous. Even the 3700X will offer a major boost compared to the 4790K. I own a system with a 7700K, and my 3700X outperforms it in every aspect. You're greatly missing the architectural gains of Zen 2. In my setup using the 3700X, I upgraded from an 1700X to the 3700X (both with 8 cores, 16 threads, and nearly identical clock speeds) and the results are starkly different. The 3900X pushes the 4790K to its limits in every possible way.
