It might simply be a problem with the game. The most reliable way to confirm is to try other titles. If the problem appears, ensure you’re not disconnecting from the Wi-Fi. Another option is to relocate the device close enough to evaluate via Ethernet connection. If the issue lies with the game’s network path, there’s little you can do beyond these checks. You can only proceed with the methods mentioned; if everything aligns, it could point to a connectivity route problem. I remember playing Quake for the first time with friends—I had trouble staying online. We were all on the same ISP but different regions. Other games functioned normally, so I thought it was specific to that game.

Well T Mobile allows cancellation at any time. The challenge is locating a service, particularly for those in Rural America.

Your mobile hotspot seems to be functioning normally, so your Wi-Fi card might not be the issue.

Which network is connected to the phone? If it's T Mobile, there might still be an issue since phones and home internet share the same towers. The quickest clue is Ethernet. If it functions over a cable, it could point to a WiFi problem.

Sure, there are alternatives to test the connection without using Ethernet. You could use a wireless signal strength checker or try pinging the router from another device.

Consider testing a different Wi-Fi adapter, or try USB adapters. If that resolves the problem, the issue may be with your mobile network connection and you should switch providers.

I often overlook checking the ping value. It might signal a problem. A high ping could cause the game to disconnect you from the room.
