Microsoft has released an update for Prism x86 to ARM that now supports all Avx/avx2 titles without anti-cheat restrictions on Windows 11 ARM. This marks a significant improvement, allowing these games to launch smoothly without additional compatibility patches. While performance remains similar to previous versions, the change means most AAA titles will run without issues. However, I can't share benchmarks for any of these games due to my device's hardware limitations—my Snapdragon X Plus laptop has an iGPU that performs roughly three times less than the latest mobile GPU, so even at lower settings, I'm limited in these high-end games. For users with newer chips like the X Elite series, this update means almost all anti-cheat restrictions are lifted, enabling better performance and smoother gameplay. No longer do you need to manually turn on compatibility settings for these titles.
Windows intends to remove anticheat from the kernel, which increases the likelihood anticheat will operate indirectly on Linux once implemented.
On my Snapdragon X Plus laptop, performance has significantly improved and stability has increased after the latest updates. I can now run the game at a consistent 60 fps, something I struggled with before. Still, it's limited by GPU power even at the lowest 1080p settings. I’d love to hear from anyone using an X Elite model about their experience at 1080p lowest and 800x600 lowest—your feedback would be really helpful!
