All installed applications are now displayed in the section titled "Recently Added Apps"
On Windows 10 22H2 I observed the Start Menu now displays more than 100 applications listed under Recently Added Apps. It seems everything is showing as newly installed or recently added. Clearing them one by one feels extremely time-consuming. Are there registry options to remove all of these entries or reset the list? Disabling the "Show Recently Added Apps" setting in Settings > Personalization > Start only hides it—it doesn’t actually delete them, so re-enabling brings everything back. I’m looking for a faster way to clear this without repeatedly right-clicking and choosing "Remove from this list." Also, I’d like to understand why this happened, especially since many of these apps have been installed for years.
I just gave it a try—it removed everything for me. Do you not see the clear choice under Remove from this list? I’m not sure why you’re focused on Recently Added apps, since that option is turned off. It’s really pointless. Save your favorites and let the rest sort themselves alphabetically. There’s no need for a temporary list at the top of your new apps.
That's completed! I wasn't quite catching the "obvious" choice. I'm going to turn it off permanently this time.
