The RAM, CPU, and GPU are functioning properly with no overloads. This problem appears in most games I play. It's not very frequent but occurs reasonably often; I usually save the game and restart it. I shared a clip from the start of GoW to illustrate. My setup includes a GTX 1650, 24GB RAM, and an i5-10300H processor. The issue is around 1fps.

Yes, I upgraded the RAM myself.

I own a laptop and upgraded the RAM on my own. The problem has persisted for a while, even after the RAM change, so I suspect another factor is involved.

I took out the previous 8GB RAM module and began the game using only the 16GB one to check if the old unit was faulty, but the issue returned after a short playtime of about five minutes. No success.

It seems like the overheating might be related to the GPU, even though it works well for short periods. The temperatures look normal, but the CPU readings aren’t showing up. Since you’ve had the laptop for five years, the thermal paste might not be effective anymore.

It seems the term refers to CPU throttling, which occurs when the processor becomes too busy and reduces its performance to prevent damage. This could be due to overheating from dried thermal paste or improper application.

Absolutely, that's the most effective solution. However, the CPU usage is at 100%, which is even worse than the 70% threshold. It seems like upgrading hardware might be necessary unless you try changing the paste.
