Thank you all for your feedback and suggestions. I attempted to log in from my home computer but encountered an unusual error prompting me to create a username, even though one was already set. This prevented me from accessing the account from home. Once back at work, the situation improved significantly. Upon returning home, I followed these steps: ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth, then executed sfc /scannow. Both processes reported successful fixes. However, the games remained unresponsive. I checked for driver updates and confirmed they were up to date. My BIOS version was from September 2022, while a newer release was available since late December. I updated the BIOS settings, which completed without issues, but then the PC went dark completely—keyboard, mouse, and monitor LEDs failed. I had to power down the machine manually. After rebooting, everything appeared normal. I rechecked BF 2042; initially laggy during a single-player match, but it resolved and allowed me to complete an entire round. Continued play confirmed stability. Overall, the PC performed exceptionally well from Christmas until just two days ago. I truly appreciate everyone’s help!
