All applications are failing to run on the system, even without other issues on the PC
In the last week my computer has begun to randomly crash during gameplay, regardless of the title. I’ve checked all connections and components to confirm everything is properly installed and undamaged. I reinstalled the operating system, verified that all drivers are current, and reset the BIOS to its default configuration after updating. I also performed a memory test and ran the System File Checker using CMD. Additionally, I used OCCT to conduct stability and stress tests on my CPU, RAM, and GPU, all of which completed without errors or crashes. Despite these checks, I’m still puzzled because my PC had no prior issues until this started, especially while playing games. If anyone has faced similar problems or can offer further guidance on troubleshooting, I’d greatly appreciate it. Please feel free to share your system specifications as well.
I'm not sure what triggered it yet, but because Nvidia has had driver problems recently, I'd consider using older drivers. At the very least, try something reliable until better options appear. It might also help to inspect the lower side of the CPU, as there have been reports about some high-end 7000 series units failing due to (supposedly) BIOS issues, especially when paired with ASRock boards.
I thank you for the suggestion. I updated one of their older drivers this morning because the latest updates came within a week of each other. After returning from work, I’ll check if any crashes persist. Appreciate the guidance!
