I completed the upgrade using version 1404, but faced several issues... I've been reviewing many troubleshooting guides, encountering frequent cold boot freezes. I contacted ASUS support and plan to revert to an earlier BIOS version.

Hey everyone, I faced the same problem but managed to fix it by following these steps: Flash BIOS to version 1.0.0.4 again, reset to optimized defaults, then switched onboard devices in the advanced settings and changed my graphics card slot to Gen 3 instead of auto. After that, I adjusted my RAM to 3200MHz and set the fClk to 1600MHz. Before booting, I had to clear the CMOS. My setup includes an ASUS X570 TUF Gaming WiFi, AMD Ryzen 3700x, EVGA 1080ti SC2, and a 32GB G.Skill Sniper at 3200MHz.

I'm experiencing more buying regrets with my Asus X570. After using a beta AGESA 1.0.0.4 1403 BIOS for over a month, my Viper Patriot Steel 3733CL17 RAM didn't support XMP. I tried setting it to 3666CL16 at 1.43V and it worked fine except for occasional cold boots. Then I installed a custom water loop and lowered the frequency to 3600, which resolved the issue. However, I found a newer 1405 BIOS with performance upgrades. Unfortunately, I can't POST at any other RAM profile—even at 3400 with auto timings at 1.45V. It only restarts once and then fails to load training memory, forcing me to reset the BIOS with a screwdriver. The odd part is that when I connect Windows at the default 2133 RAM speed and use Ryzen Master's DRAM OC, it works perfectly. Before my motherboard detects RAM, I need to turn off the PC, open the case, short the CMOS jumper, enter BIOS, apply my profile, boot to Windows, enable DRAM OC via Ryzen Master, and then reboot. If this doesn't work, I'm seriously thinking about replacing my motherboard because the 1403 downgrade isn't viable. It seems someone else discovered this BIOS issue earlier on Reddit. I wonder how it became public. Do they test it with 2133 RAM?
