Air cooler for i7-6700k
Air cooler for i7-6700k
Hi, I'm searching for an air cooler that fits my budget of £30-£70. I've considered the cryorig h7 and the Noctua NH U14s, but the latter is quite pricey. I'm curious if it's worth the investment or if there are other good options available. Also, I'll be using a meshify C case. Thanks!
It's a noticeable improvement, with the temperature variations increasing as CPU power consumption rises. Refer to the analysis in the following review that compares it to the 212 EVO (which I think matches the H7 in performance, though no direct comparisons to the U14S were found).

Edit: The H7 shows better results than expected. Perhaps lowering the temperature gap between the 212 EVO and the U14S by a few degrees could help illustrate the H7's capabilities.
I put a scythe kotetsu in my son's PC using a 7600K. You need 160mm space available. It’s not costly (£48.41), simple to install, and operates very quietly.

Please note the comparison with the NH-U14s at the end.

At the end of the review, I mention it compares well with the NH-U14s.
I might consider that one too. What’s the difference here?

Are they both U14s?
Just to reiterate, if you're not overclocking there really isn't much benefit to getting something more expensive than an H7. Unless you're treating this as an investment for the future, i.e. get something high end now such that you're set in case you want to overclock and/or get a CPU with a higher TDP in the future.

Yeah, I might do that. So if I can get a much better one for around £20 i would rather do that
is this much bettter than the H7?
