Ai Tweaker, AMD overclocking tools and AMD CBS software.
Motherboard model: ASUS B450-F Gaming. Usually I rely on 'ai tweaker' for RAM overclocking, but the system starts up correctly. I wondered if this is the best spot for RAM tuning. I saw options to set RAM frequency and timings in both 'amd overclocking' and 'amd cbs'. I tried leaving everything automatic in 'ai tweaker', then attempted a RAM overclock only in 'amd overclocking' but it wouldn’t boot into Windows. I used the same settings from 'ai tweaker' and just copied them to 'amd overclocking'. I’m unsure why it fails. The main difference between the two is the RAM timing—'amd overclocking' shows hex values, which I had to convert from decimal. Each part also includes PBO; I thought the optimizer in 'amd overclocking' would handle that well. Any guidance on how to interpret these sections would be greatly appreciated.
In the CBS area there’s no option for memory timings. The available menus focus on performance settings rather than detailed timing adjustments. ---- Typically, I rely on Performance Enhancer on the AI tweaker page. For PBO I just boost the default PPT and EDC values to give the CPU more flexibility. Memory is usually adjusted manually, either with XMP enabled or disabled, to experiment with different outcomes.
It seems like you were trying to clarify something about your board setting. It appears to be a binary state—either on or off. I'm here to help you figure it out further.
It seems interesting how this was removed. What do you think about it?
