SPECS: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X MOBO: Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming Rev 1.0 GPU: EVGA Nvidia RTX 2060 XC Black Edition Gaming GDDDR6 6GB RAM: Corsair vengance 16RGB CL 15 3000Mhz PSU: EVGA G2 650W Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX STORAGE: Sabrent Rocket 1TB, Adata SU800 1TB, Seagate Barracude 3TB Hi, everyone first post here. I just recently upgraded my system listed above by upgrading the CPU from a Ryzen 5 2600 to a Ryzen 7 5700X. I didn't want to change the motherboard cause I figured I could drop the new CPU in after updating to the latest supported BIOS. On that mobo specifically I updated to F63a which is the latest BIOS revision. Im using the stock cooler and I noticed that the temps are really high, idling around 50 to 60, I already ordered a cooler but aside from that Ive been having really bad issues like BSODs and sometimes visual artifacting. Ive only had this cpu for about 2 days. Everything else including the 2600 has been in use for a couple years so I haven't seen issues like this until I swap to the 5700X. Several of the BSOD codes I got refer to SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_EQUAL, and SYSTEM_THREADED_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. They seemed to occur randomly or after plugging/unplugging any USBs devices and I also seem to get visual artifacting now when running prime 95. Things ive tried: DDUing my graphics drivers reset bios settings turned XMP profile off deleting old cpu drivers off device manager (they are hidden) windows disk check updating AMD Chipset drivers

Reduce BIOS one level or apply the newest version if possible.

Sorry for the delayed response. I've added a new cooler to my setup to prevent the CPU from overheating. As mentioned, I was using the newest BIOS for that motherboard from gigabytes. I switched to F62 without any problems. I'm running benchmarks and regular tasks to check if I can match the symptoms. Additionally, I've set up the only XMP profile for my RAM.

It seems the issue is resolved. Great work! Updating the bios can sometimes be tricky, so reporting it to Gigabyte is a good step.

Currently, I haven't encountered any unusual problems or blue screens. I should mention that I switched coolers on the 5700X, and temperatures aren't idling at 60s anymore. Still, it's not uncommon for the CPU to briefly spike in core clocks before returning to normal.
