After updating to Widows 10, consider adding necessary software and tools. [Help]
I just reinstalled Windows 10 after upgrading my PC. Anyone know any general tips for what to download after a clean install? I've removed some built-in apps and switched browsers to Chrome. I'm not sure if I need graphics card or motherboard drivers yet. The motherboard is ASRock AB350 Pro4, and the GPU is a GTX 1050Ti mini. I'm looking at the driver options provided. CPU is a Ryzen 5 1600, and I've downloaded Ryzen Master but don't know if there are other updates.
I don't recommend RyzenMaster for overclocking. It tends to be unreliable for me. Instead, check your BIOS settings and install the official Ryzen drivers. Then adjust the power options to select the suggested Ryzen profile.
Configure graphics driver settings, enable performance options, and disable power features. Adjust power limits and remove unnecessary software. Download essential tools for your tasks. Set clock and power boundaries. Lock preferred applications on the taskbar. Disable Cortana and clear startup items.
You don't need any motherboard drivers. Windows 10 will install your GPU driver automatically. For game optimization and recording, consider downloading additional drivers separately. I suggest using Ccleaner and Malwarebytes. Check the Windows settings thoroughly and adjust options as needed—turn on or off features like "ask for my review" or disable ads.
