I recently switched from a 5700xt to a 7800xt and wasn’t happy with the performance in Borderlands 3. After some research on YouTube, I watched a tutorial where Linus showed how to set up SAM. I decided to give it a shot. I closed all programs, turned off the PC, restarted it, and enabled features like 4G decoding and resized bar support. Once I powered it back on, posting stopped and my ASUS board displayed a white VGA light. The specs are: 5600x, 7800xt, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, 1TB SSD, ASUS Strix B550.

To restart the board, you might need to reset the BIOS by jumping the header or removing the CMOS battery for a minute. This will reset it to factory settings. Regarding compatibility, do you know if your BIOS is current with the latest firmware? There could be issues if your 7800XT doesn’t match an older BIOS version.

You can obtain the most recent BIOS update from Asus' website. Because your motherboard should be compatible with BIOS flashback, it's quite secure to perform an update—Flashback can help revert issues if a new version causes problems. (I think all Asus Strix B550 boards include this feature unless you have a very rare model that lacks it.)
