I changed the motherboard and CPU in my son's computer. The performance dropped during benchmark tests. He moved from a Ryzen 5 2400G on an MSI B350 to a Ryzen 7 5800X on a Tuf Gaming X570-PRO. We're running Windows 10 with a M.2 drive that I just replaced. After the swap, his GPU jumped from 60 FPS to about 40. I'm unsure if a fresh install would help or if using DDU might be better.
I’d add a new one just to confirm it’s not the same. I understand Windows is now superior compared to older versions, especially when changing hardware, though it might still face various problems during the process.
Consider updating the drivers and installing the newest chipset driver.
