It's exactly what the title describes. I have a TPM module slot on my board and was considering purchasing a TPM module while upgrading to a W11 system. However, I'm worried about compatibility—even if I buy it, will it still work? My current specs are: GPU GTX 1070, CPU i7 4790k, motherboard ASUS Maximus Hero VII.

The processor is significantly outdated and won't receive official updates from Windows 11. Running it without TPM offers some functionality, though Microsoft won't back it up.

Unless you require a specific function, Windows 10 is acceptable. It receives updates for a minimum of five more years. By then you should have a fresh setup.
