Please note the necessary action to proceed. Click the button labeled "Cleanup System Files" in the lower right corner. Refer to my updated original post for reference.

 The size is actually between 3 to 6GB, and on my device it was 4.2GB.

I still can't locate the "Cleanup Old Windows Installation Files" feature. However, I found a "Windows Update CleanUp" option, which is about 900Mb. It seems I might need to delete some files from my SSD. Also, the link to the guide has been removed for clarity. For reference: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/252...s-8-a.html I don’t have Windows 10 installed anywhere on my system at all.

I was just confirming the dimensions, not whether it was installed on your device

I deleted it from that post since I revised my previous update. If that choice isn’t visible, another element might be occupying the space.

It didn't work. I think I'll have to cut out some parts. Thanks.

View concealed files and folders 1 – Press the Windows+S key combination to open the “Search” box. 2 – Enter a folder name into the Search box, then choose Folder Options from the options. The “Folder Options” window will appear. 3 – Choose the View tab. 4 – In “Advanced Settings”, pick Show hidden files, folders, and drives. 5 – Click Apply, then select Ok. After that, look in your Windows directory for a folder named $WINDOWS.~BT, and you can remove it if needed.

It’s probably just System Restore. Proceed with Disk Cleanup as normal. Select Clean up system files. After recovery, open the More Options menu, choose Clean Up for the System Restore and Shadow Copies section. Return to the Disk Cleanup tab, review additional items you wish removed, and confirm with OK. Keep in mind this action removes everything except the latest System Restore backups.

You already have the folder in place but it isn’t visible. Attempts to locate it failed even after using the cleanup option. Previously, the "Windows Update CleanUp" showed around 900MB, but now it’s only about 1MB.
