For context, this is what my relevant hardware (I think) are: Motherboard: MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000 PC5-48000 CL36 Dual Channel Power supply: Lian Li - EDGE GOLD 850 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular Power Supply Also people asked for my CPU:AMD Ryzen 9 9950X Just got an extra 32GB of RAM (that I ensured is the exact RAM model that I have used) to my already 32GB of RAM, making it 64 GB of RAM total. I installed it into my Motherboard and and turned on my PC. On the start up, it was flickering for a little bit but it still opened to my home screen. I then opened up Firefox and it worked fine at first, but then the tab I was on crashed. Then another tab. Then my entire browser just crashed. Every time I opened Firefox, it kept on crashing and crashing. I also noticed my task bar and applications constantly refreshing. And then my computer crashed. I turned my computer on again and now it's even worse, Firefox instantly crashing when opened, computer constantly refreshing, and then quickly blue screening. Taking out the newly installed RAM fixed everything, but I am still scared it somehow damaged something. I don't have XMP or any RAM overclocking settings enabled in my bios and looking at my motherboard, it says it can handle 192GB of memory. I honestly have no clue why my computer can't take extra RAM even with trying to research the issue. Hopefully you wonderful people have an answer Edited June 15, 2025 by Yeah Micro Center is ok people asking for CPU

Which processor? The memory controller is built into the CPU itself, not on the motherboard. I'm using 4x16GB RAM with a 7800X3D at expo. It's still uncommon, so you might run into issues. DDR5 memory controllers aren't fully developed yet, which explains the problem. It's frustrating, but some adjustments might work.

What cpu? Using 4 dimms of ddr5 is HARD to run at ny proper speed and unless its a from factory matched kit there is a good chance that even identical kits juat wont ever work togeheter

The CPU is an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, and I purchased the RAM and CPU together from Micro Center, so it’s not a factory-matched set. I’m hearing that DDR5 performance isn’t reliable with four sticks.
