I need about 14 Mb/s now versus the expected 250 Mb/s. I've tried powerline, which helped a bit but not enough, and I can't use Ethernet. Looking for affordable PCI-e cards under $50, ideally around 80-120 Mb/s.

What kind of router do you have? How close are you to it? It seems like your router should support AC, and you're within a reasonable range, but let's confirm before suggesting any changes.
