Hello, I’m looking to spend approximately £200 to £300 on a PC for gaming. I’ll primarily be playing titles such as Total War, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and League of Legends, but I’d also like the ability to run more graphically intensive games smoothly with a good frame rate, even if it means using lower graphics settings. I’d like a system designed with future upgrades in mind, and any suggestions regarding longevity and compatibility would be greatly appreciated. I’m open to both Intel and AMD builds.

Considering your financial constraints, acquiring a pre-owned desktop computer from online marketplaces could provide a more advantageous solution than purchasing a brand new one. CSGO and League of Legends should perform adequately using the components outlined below; however, for League of Legends specifically, "you'd still prefer to be able to run more graphically intensive titles smoothly and consistently at a respectable frame rate," is desired.

Here’s the parts list:

CPU:
AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor
(£73.98 at Amazon UK)
Motherboard:
MSI B450M-A PRO MAX Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard
(£56.06 at CCL Computers)
Memory:
Team T-Force Vulcan 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
(£44.64 at Overclockers.co.uk)
Storage:
Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
(£34.96 at Currys PC World Business)

Considering your financial constraints, acquiring a pre-owned computer from online marketplaces might present a more advantageous option than purchasing a brand-new one.

Games like Counter Strike: Global Offensive and League of Legends should operate satisfactorily utilizing the components below; however, for League of Legends specifically, “you would still desire the capability to play graphically intensive titles smoothly and achieve a consistent frame rate,” is not realistic.

Many thanks, sir! Regarding the secondhand market – are you asking about pre-built computers like a small office mini-ITX system and potentially adding a graphics card, or are you interested in buying individual components separately and assembling them yourself?
