To reach the maximum 144, consider R5 3600 with at least 3000MHz RAM. The 1600AF/2600 already handles 80-100fps in many tougher titles, so if you don’t need to maintain 144fps across everything (like lowering settings on a 1080Ti for that), these are the more affordable choices.
I have 3200mhz RAM, but what about the motherboard? I own an H110i cooler, which gives me overclocking capabilities. I don’t want to sacrifice its performance just to match the stock fan speed. Even if it costs a bit more, I prefer using my cooler’s power instead of relying on the stock solution.
3600 might not gain more performance with manual OC than stock. PBO can slightly improve it, but only marginally. Prioritize memory tuning. Otherwise, even an MSI B450 ATX board (unless you opt for smaller sizes) will be limited by memory for that setup.
