Have you checked Microcenter for any offers? Also, see the university bookstore—you might find a Windows license for almost nothing.

I discovered this offer on microcenter, but I'm uncertain about the quality of the RAM and motherboard.

It's a good pairing. No major issues here.

It's improved compared to what you first had in mind, particularly from a PSU perspective. MoBo has some shortcomings, like the 8+2+1 VRM setup and Dr.MOS, and the VRM cooling isn't very good, but it should work if you don't intend to overclock the CPU. In summary, it's acceptable.

If you’re planning to invest $350 for just 6 cores and 16GB of RAM, I’d consider this option. It’s an extra $50 but offers 32GB of RAM and an 8-core processor.
You can find it here: https://www.microcenter.com/product...ie...ild-bundle
I’m using the 7700 non x in my setup with a 9070xt at 1440p, and it works well. The 7700x seems to perform better than my current configuration.
