Advice on Kraken G12 + G52 fan pin installation
Hi everyone, I just acquired a Nzxt Kraken G12 and G52 combo at a great price. It’s a bit tricky now because it includes two 3-pin fan cables (G12 VRM fan and G52 pump) plus two 4-pin cables for the radiator fans. My Asus Z87-pro motherboard only has four fan headers, and two are already set up for the CPU AIO controls. I’m wondering about the best way to connect everything on Cha1 or Cha2—should I use a 1-to-4 fan splitter into Cha1, powered or unpowered? Or should I connect both headers to Cha1 for the pump and a 1-to-3 splitter for the fans in Cha2? The other fans are directly powered and fine, but I’m not sure how to manage the flow. The big fan is set for inflow, while the rest are outflow. I noticed the GPU AIO was installed because my Titan X hit 90°C to 95°C recently (not overclocked), and after removing the stock cooler, I saw the thermal paste was almost gone. Thanks in advance, Dave.
