Advice on First Gaming PC (Parts List)
I don't have any concerns, but I’d appreciate feedback regarding my initial gaming computer build.
Component List:
Corsair CP-9020170 VS Series VS450 – a 450W, 80 Plus White Certified Non-Modular Desktop Power Supply
Cooler Master MCB-Q300L-KANN-S00 MasterBox Q300L Windowed Micro-ATX Mini-Tower Chassis
ASRock A320M-HDV AMD Ryzen Socket AM4 Micro-ATX Desktop Motherboard
G.Skill F4-2400C15D-16GVS Ripjaws V 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-2400MHz CL15 1.20V Desktop Memory
GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB of Video RAM
AMD RYZEN 5 1600 Processor featuring a Wraith Spire 95W cooler / 6 Cores - 12 Threads
Could you share your opinions on this configuration?
Which games are you interested in playing?
I’d select this computer configuration:
Intel Core i5 9600k processor
MSI Pro series ATX motherboard
MSI Nvidia RTX 2060 graphics card
Samsung 500gb solid-state drive
500 watt power supply
Windows 10 Home
You generally wouldn’t require an Intel Core i7 processor unless you intend to perform extensive video editing or similar creative tasks. An i5 and RTX 2060 pairing should effectively manage all current games for several years before a GPU upgrade is necessary.
