I'm evaluating a new laptop since my existing one won't update to Windows 11. I'm thinking about the Dell Latitude available at the store. Should I choose the Ultra 5 with 32GB RAM or the Ultra 7 with 16GB RAM? My main tasks are emails, internet browsing, and handling multiple PDFs and Word documents (about 20 total), with no gaming or video editing planned. Which option suits my needs best? I'm also open to other suggestions, especially focusing on reliability and long-term performance, as I've owned an Asus for ten years and want a similar or better experience.

The main distinction between the Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 lies in clock speeds (especially for the U series). The Ultra 7 offers a 500MHz increase for performance cores and a 300MHz boost for efficient cores. These extra speeds won't significantly impact your usage. Which one is more affordable?

Guessing .... and being correct
😀
I thought about whether the 7 could provide stronger future protection for apps that might require more powerful processors, since I wouldn’t want them to stop working in a few years.

In my view, adding more RAM is better than opting for a faster CPU.

Currently, 16 GB of RAM might not be enough. Choosing 32 GB would be a better option if your budget permits.

If I were to pick from their outlet store, it would be a choice between two options... the 32GB RAM with an Ultra 5 OR 7 and 16GB... if there was a chance for the 7 with 32GB, that would be what I would have selected.
It seems the decision comes down to whether I went for one of those or something entirely different.

I'm not certain if it's from the UK or EU, when I placed the order it mentioned a delay until the 6th but received it about five days ago.

Please confirm that the upcoming Dell purchase does not include any previously installed company hardware that could block future updates, as this has already occurred.
