Advice for using a controller in Rainbow Six Siege
Advice for using a controller in Rainbow Six Siege
I wouldn't think so because it doesn't seem like you're gaining an unfair benefit. Also, I'm confident Battleye will only penalize someone for using code that changes the game or harms others' experience. Adjusting settings on your input device wouldn't be seen as cheating (though it's similar to using Razer Synapse, Logitech G Hub, etc.). Just a controller version if you understand.
Controller is available in PVE Games.
R6 is a PVP game. That means you're likely at a disadvantage compared to seasoned players.
dont know if true, but i saw somewhere that people who used macros stored on their input devices to lean and crouch spam had got banned. I know this remapping of a key isn't something like that but who knows if i get unlucky for such a thing. I'll first try my best to learn the controls the way as it is now, the ADS on the sticks is whats troubling me. if it doesnt work out i'll see if a key mapping software is available
Tip 1: Keep the controller securely stored, away from the clutter, on your desk.
Tip 2: Connect a mechanical keyboard to an available USB port on your PC.
Tip 3: Attach a mouse to an open USB port on your PC.
These three suggestions will help you maximize your FPS gaming experience. Enjoy!
Don't worry about what others say about K&M compared to a controller.
It requires extensive time to truly understand and master either one.
Communication and cleverness are essential for unlocking opportunities.
Each player brings unique strengths and weaknesses—use them wisely.
Knowing maps inside out and exploring every detail of each map is incredibly useful.
Spend considerable effort facing challenging bots; it will greatly improve your skills.
Engage with K&M players using a controller, as you'll gradually get along with them and eventually surpass them.
Remember the importance of #1 and #2 from this advice.
I believe the Xbox one controller outperforms the 360 one significantly, though it lacks precision. Call of Duty was built with an aim assistant in mind, while Rainbow Six on PC may not include it since mice aren't required.
