I often run several games simultaneously and stream videos. For instance, I might play Warframe on the main screen while using Bluestacks to emulate a game on the side, or watch a video while listening to music on YouTube. Sometimes I switch to playing a game on the primary monitor with Satisfactory, Factorio, or Farming Simulator on another device. Right now I’m using 1080p monitors. The components I consider solid are generally reliable, though not all at 100%. The links point to my local store. My CPU is a 12600k (338 Euro), paired with an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280mm (105 Euro). For the motherboard, I’m using an MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR4 (237 Euro). RAM is Kingston FURY Beast, DDR4, 16 GB, 3600 MHz CL17. The power supply is a Fractal Design FD-P-IA2P-860 860W (150 Euro), and the case is an Mobo Box which could be reused from my current ATX unit. Storage-wise, I plan to reuse my existing drives. Regarding changes, I’m not sure about any specific adjustments; these parts seem to fit the budget well. The Mobo should handle the CPU without issues. There’s potential for a 13th generation processor that could lower prices for the 12th gen.
The latest release is just around the corner, with at least two years before any 13th-gen updates appear. That seems quite promising.
Are you sure? The 12th generation is already a year old, while the 13th is expected soon—likely in September or October with a release in October or November. It’s nowhere near the "2 years away" timeline Intel has mentioned for the 13th gen. I’d probably wait until my current setup still works if that’s the case.
I will wait till like December this year. And if there is no news that 13th gen is close to release, imma pull the trigger in 12th gen.
