People would likely enjoy a free-to-play open-world RPG. If it required around 100 to 200 hours, players might prioritize better graphics or more content. With $5 daily downloads and roughly 30 to 40 extra hours of material, it could be an effective way to introduce RPGs outside the MMO genre.

Truly, a compelling narrative or engaging experience takes priority over anything else. I’d favor a concise, enjoyable game over an extended, dull one.

A compelling central plot is important, but side missions can add depth. It’s better if each side quest has its own mini-narrative rather than just being generic. This approach keeps players engaged without overwhelming them.

They need a role beyond just being present. Their connection to the narrative should be clear, even if they pursue their own goals.

The minor side missions should influence the main storyline in a smaller way, supporting the larger objective and making it more manageable.

Additionally, side missions should avoid becoming monotonous.

Imagine those endless side missions simply serving as a means to enhance character abilities rather than functioning as lengthy preparation tasks for advanced gameplay.

They seem better suited for training rather than a quest.
