I’m searching for a reliable tool to correct registry issues. At work we use IOLO System Mechanic, but I personally don’t like it much. I’m open to other options that are free or low-cost and can help me out. Let me know if you have any recommendations! Thanks in advance!

Avoid modifying your registry. Focus only on specific entries that cause trouble. Cleaning the registry isn’t beneficial and can be harmful. It’s simply a storage file, not a performance booster. Forums demonstrate this well—they run smoothly with more content without slowing down. There’s no benefit to altering the registry.

I often set up and take down software for my lessons (more than five programs each week). After removal, leftover files stay in the registry. I’m very careful about keeping my system tidy, removing anything unnecessary—even bad registry data. I’d manually fix them if needed, but I prefer using a cleaner tool to find and delete only the wrong entries. I’ve never faced problems cleaning manually, and I have backups of important files plus just one backup for less critical stuff, so I’m open to a fresh install if it helps.
