popular titles that use it: Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, Assassin's Creed: Unity, Battlefield 4, Civilization V, Civilization: Beyond Earth, Crysis 3, DiRT 3, DiRT Showdown, F1 2013, F1 2014, Far Cry 3, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, GRID 2, GRID Autosport, Hitman: Absolution, Just Cause 2, Saints Row IV, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Titanfall, Wargame: European Escalation. New anti-aliasing from NVIDIA with the 344.75 driver is now available—anyone has tried it? Your thoughts on the performance changes are valuable. I recall FXAA making things blurry before; this update seems more realistic. Performance impact is noticeable, and reviews confirm its effect. Would this be a good reason to upgrade to the 900 series?
Thanks for the notification. I hadn’t set it up the previous night and would have completely overlooked it. There are actually more games that work with MFAA than I realized, several of which I already own and enjoy. I plan to try it out tomorrow.
I activate it using Nvidia inspector, GT555m functions well though the frame rate falls short of expectations, likely because of limited native compatibility or an outdated GPU. Still, it performs better than expected. Here are my JC2 results: 4x mfaa (44fps) appears to match the quality of 8x msaa as advertised by Nvidia, and runs smoother than 8x msaa at 38fps. https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/h...42d9fd921c 4xmfaa (equivalent to 8x msaa) http://imgur.com/qXglIKB,S7f8SKA#0 8x msaa http://imgur.com/qXglIKB,S7f8SKA#1 Edit: Added Image comparison.
