Sure, I could handle that. I’d definitely highlight the fried parts too. To be honest, I was really nervous when I fried the GPUs since I’d never smelled burning PCBs before. I ended up running around the house searching for fire, not realizing it was hiding under my desk.
Unfortunately, the situation turned out to be quite disappointing. I tried to run my simulation assuming GPUs acted like real processors, but it failed completely—like trying to insert a fork into an electrical outlet. It seems the hardware just wasn’t meant to work together. I’d really appreciate having a log of what happened; that would help me build a more accurate physical processor design. To be clear, when I say “fried,” I mean the PCIe slot melted too, which was probably the most heartbreaking outcome. Putting too many volts into something that should only handle a few was definitely a mistake.
