Hello. My new PC has been performing well for about two months now. Today I decided to reorganize my setup and moved the case to a different position. I adjusted some cables to make them longer and reconnected everything. The fans started running, lights came on, but my monitors didn’t receive any signal and my keyboards weren’t lighting up. I didn’t open the case, so I’m not sure anything is wrong inside. Since the system has been stable for two months, I didn’t disconnect any internal hardware. The only possible issue I noticed was that I connected the keyboard to the BIOS port, which seems fine according to my findings. Setup details: CPU – Intel Core i7 12700K 3.6GHz, 25MHz cooler, MSI Mag Coreliquid C280, Memory – CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 32GB x2, Motherboard – ROG Strix Z690-F Gaming, GPU – Gigabyte Genforce RTX 4070Ti (previously had AMD 7900 XT, but AMD isn’t working with local Stable Diffusion). Case – Lian Li Lancool 215 Black. Updated the BIOS to fix it.
The screen I inspected is the primary one, and it continues to use the identical cable as before.
I would shut down the system, disconnect all power from the PC, reconnect just the video cable to the monitor, then restart it to check if the video connection works.
I used my previous computer and linked it to the same keyboard and screen. It restarted itself twice without the keyboard lighting up. When I connected just the monitor, it booted up, but the keyboard didn’t work until the old PC was fixed. Now it doesn’t work with the new PC either.
It seems the problem might stem from connecting the keyboard to the BIOS. Checked multiple times, but my old PC couldn’t start with it plugged in. The new PC also fails to boot whether it’s connected or not. Followed UD’s advice and there was no video output.
