Check if it matches your processor's Tcase or consider setting a slightly higher limit.

Case temperature refers to the room's ambient temperature, which is consistently lower than the throttle temperature of the processor you're interested in. Intel's throttle temp is around 100°C, applicable to most generations starting from the Core i7 first generation. AMD's 3000 and 5000 series run at 90°C, while the 1000 and 2000 series reach 95°C. AMD FX max core temperature is 60°C, Phenom II max core is 62°C, and Phenom I (Agena core) is also 62°C. The AMD 65nm Brisbane core max core temperature is 68°C. An Athlon 6400+ 90nm Windsor core operates at 64°C. I don't have any additional details at this point.

The case represents the heat limit the processor's integrated heat spreader can handle. For my setup, the ark.intel value of 71C applies to a Core 2 Quad q9500. Adjust your shutdown temperature accordingly based on this specification.

I allowed it to shut down by itself, typically around 107-110°C. Sometimes it finishes faster based on the amperage I estimate.

It refers to the maximum safe operating temperature. The heat spreader combined with Intel stock heat sink is built around the processor's TDP. Exceeding 71°C would prevent normal CPU performance. Overheating occurs rapidly. Servers need specific airflow per watt in blade configurations. This ensures Tcase stays within TDP limits when using multiple processors. For a single CPU, it usually doesn’t matter much. ThermTrip is the safe shutdown temperature for the processor. I’m aware from AMD documentation that high-temperature alerts reach 70°C. This model is Zen+ [link].

Oops, that doesn't sound right. The throttle temp for a Q9500 is typically around 100°C, not 110°C. Shutting down at 110°C isn't standard. I'd aim to keep the load temp around 85°C, especially if you decide to overclock.
