Adjusting RAM speed to advertised rates by hand.
Adjusting RAM speed to advertised rates by hand.
My board is experiencing problems with XMP, so I’m trying to adjust speeds manually. I know my timing but I’m having trouble with the TRC default which is set to 61. It seems XMP changed it to 64, and I’m not sure whether to stick with 61 or switch to 64. I don’t want to enable XMP at all, so I’m considering using it at 61.
Settings appear as follows:
Tcl – 18
Trcdrd – 22
Trcdwr – 22
Trp. – 22
Tras. – 42
I’ll leave the rest on auto, just aiming for advertised speeds.
Voltage – 1.35
There was a minor issue with the voltage; 1.35 shows as 1.404, but 1.29 lists 1.35v. I’m not sure if it’s better to keep 1.404 or adjust to 1.35.
Thanks for your assistance.
What bothers you about XMP?
The equation for TRC calculation is tCL + tRAS + 2.
