Hello, I'm just starting out with overclocking and need some guidance.
I saw some benchmarks claiming GTA V could run at around 70-100fps on ultra setting with GTX1060, but my results were much lower, between 45 to 68. Even after trying to overclock, there was no improvement.
Could anyone help me figure out what went wrong? ;(
Most of these tests use i7 processors, which might mean my CPU is limiting the GPU performance. I'm currently using an i5-4460 with 3.2Ghz and 8 GB RAM.
I've also used MSI Afterburner, but I still haven't seen any fps increase.

Fps won't stay steady. Games behave unpredictably. This is likely due to a CPU bottleneck, as mentioned in your first comment. It's difficult to determine, but monitoring CPU usage is important. If it's at full capacity, the issue is confirmed. Adjusting the GPU won't resolve this situation.

Something is wrong with Drivers Nvidia or GTA V, because one month ago I could get 70FPS on high Stable, now I get on Normal 60fps with drops to 30fps...

Start by increasing the voltage to its maximum, then reset your memory clock and gradually raise your core clock until you encounter an OC failure. Apply Kompressor fuzzy donut stress to each adjustment, and when it crashes, you'll know you've reached your limit. Once you're past that point, begin raising the memory clock again. Be aware you might need to reboot after an OC failure since the system will remain stuck at factory speeds until you intervene. You might still see some improvement, but significant FPS gains from this setup are unlikely.

Your CPU could be limiting performance slightly, especially in GTA V which is quite demanding. The best way to confirm this is by checking your CPU usage—if it's near 100%, you've likely hit the bottleneck.

Adjusting the audio settings will also make a noticeable impact on frame rate in GTA V. Lowering the volume should help, though it won't be ideal for console play due to poor port quality. It won't reach 100 FPS with this setup, but it will offer smoother gameplay.

Start by increasing your voltage to the maximum, then reset your memory clock and gradually boost your core clock until you encounter an OC failure. Apply Kompressor fuzzy donut stress to each adjustment, and when it crashes, you'll know you've reached your limit. Once that happens, you can begin raising the memory clock again. Keep in mind you might need to restart your system after the OC failure since it will remain stuck at factory speeds until you intervene. You may achieve slightly better results, but you shouldn't expect massive FPS gains from this setup.

Your CPU could be limiting the card's performance a bit, especially since GTA is quite demanding on processing power (there are more intense games out there). The simplest way to confirm this is by checking your CPU usage—if it's near 100%, that's likely the cause.

AA settings will also have a noticeable impact on frame rate in GTA V. Lowering them should improve performance, even though the console port isn't ideal and may not deliver smooth 60fps consistently. It won't reach ultra high frames with such hardware, but it will offer a more stable experience.

Fps won't stay steady. Games behave unpredictably. This is often due to a CPU bottleneck, which your initial comment hints at. It's difficult to determine, but monitor your CPU usage. If it's at full capacity, the issue likely lies there. Adjusting the GPU won't resolve it in this scenario.
