SgtScream shares tips on air intake setup for the front 280mm radiator and top/back fans. They mention past experience with prebuilt rigs and note the need for further research before installing a new cooler. The question is about whether a Kraken x62 cooler includes only the radiator or if fans must be purchased separately. They also ask if they can remove the included fans from the radiator to use custom ones, like combining a Kraken radiator with Thermaltake fans.

It includes everything needed, and as long as the fans are of good quality, you should be fine. Check out the distinction between static pressure and air flow fans.

SgtScream explains the setup clearly. The fans come fully assembled, and as long as they're made of good quality, you should be fine. It helps to understand the difference between static pressure and air flow fans. Thanks for the helpful tip!

Your question about the 280mm fan on the front is addressed—despite the sealed metal casing, it can still draw in ambient air, though it may not be as effective as a dedicated intake fan.

SgtScream replied with understanding, noting that the fans come with everything and that quality matters. They asked about the difference between static pressure and air flow fans, thanking for the advice. The second person then expressed curiosity about how mounting a 280mm fan on the front of the case would work, questioning how it could draw in ambient air since the front is sealed with metal and no vents are present.

There are openings on the top and bottom of the front panel. This affects airflow slightly but doesn’t make the case noticeably quieter overall—it’s mainly for aesthetics. Place the radiator in the front as shown in the image, and rearrange the stock case fans to match the picture. It’s a straightforward fix that ensures proper airflow.

Thanks for the help!
A quick follow-up: I was wondering how a 280mm fan would work when mounted on the front of the case—or any intake fan—since the entire front is sealed with metal and there are no vents. It seems puzzling how ambient air could be drawn in without any openings.
That’s a valid observation. There doesn’t appear to be any ventilation.
The one in the link I shared has none at all. I’m surprised they installed a 280mm there.
But I just got back and checked my case—I can see vents on the left side of the front panel.

And on the top panel, there are vents on half of it:

If I were to make more vents by drilling holes in the top panel, which configuration would be better for cooling down the system?
(1) Add a 240mm cooler on the top panel for exhaust, but only fit one 120mm on the back and two 120mm on the front.
(2) Install the 280mm cooler on the front for intake, with two 120mm on the top panel for exhaust, and one 120mm on the back for exhaust.
