I purchased an Xbox One S controller to play 3DS games, but noticed only four directional inputs for the keybindings. Using just those limited controls felt restrictive and hard to manage. I wondered if there was a method to access the full joystick range for Citrus. Although I couldn't locate the specific link, others seemed to have figured it out online—just a matter of input adjustments. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated!

It seems the emulator relies on digital signals while your goal is to switch to analog. You could look for an emulator that supports analog input devices.

You're asking about the meaning of a "controller emulator" or "key binder." It sounds like you're trying to understand how your joystick works with your controller. If you have a JoyToken key, it likely lets you customize the bindings, but whether you can get full joystick control depends on the system settings.

While playing Phantasy Star Online they required dodge binded to double tap on the WASD keys. This caused issues on keyboards since it made precise movements difficult, especially when trying to gently reach something without touching it. Eventually I discovered that using a controller eliminated the problem, so I tried programs that simulated my playstyle with an analog stick while still using my keyboard.

With CEMu on my Xbox One controller it displays only the basic four buttons, whereas in real play I experience full 360-degree control. I've used many games with it and expect the same performance from CITRUS.

I've checked the Citrus version and noticed the 8 directions plus a single movement pace. It seems the files don't currently offer full functionality. They did remove controller support, but the input option still needs to be active for the game to work properly.

For keyboard/mouse control, the only choice left is using a dedicated key binder program or running OOT on a 64 emulator.
