I received an x470 Asus Prime-Pro Tridant DDR4 3600 8GB with dual M.2 slots (cl18-22-22-42) and a 1.35V 5700 XT Ryzen 7 3700X. Previously, I swapped my memory to 3600 MHz but the system wouldn’t boot. After removing the CMOS battery, I’m wondering if it’s feasible to increase the RAM clock speed beyond 3200 MHz or if I can improve the timing on that frequency.

I adjusted the timing settings and enabled XMP during the BIOS setup.

I just navigated to the bios section and adjusted the frequency from 3200mhz to 3600mhz.

Return to the BIOS menu and search for XMP configurations. You should find an option that configures the RAM speed to 3600 and ensures stability.

After logging into BIOS, go to the Ai Tweaker menu. At the top, find the Ai Overclock tuner. The setting is set to manual by default. Clicking it opens additional choices. XMP is available among them. Pick XMP to display the installed memory profiles. Pick the 3600 option, then apply the changes and restart the system.

Task manager displays a reading for memory usage, while CPUZ presents it at reduced speed (half).
