Hi, your Acer Nitro V15 with Ryzen 7 7535HS is definitely generating some heat. It’s not an extreme problem, but the performance throttles easily above 54W PL1 and caps around 4.2GHz per core. You’re thinking about undervolting to ease the load, which makes sense, and you also want fan noise reduced and battery life extended—UXTU doesn’t seem to help much. Are there other methods you’ve tried or any suggestions from others?

Maybe a smokeless U-series can work, but I don’t have a Ryzen laptop, so I can’t verify it for sure.

Sure, I understand your concern. Reading about this and wondering about safety is smart. Forcing the UXTU or bypassing BIOS limits isn’t recommended—it could damage the system. Stick to official methods if you need to work around these restrictions.

It remains a Zen 3 APU, so it should function properly. You can connect to the Discord server via the Github page and inquire about it. Also, version 4.2 offers the maximum all-core boost possible, independent of voltage, unless overclocking is available.

It seems like you're trying to modify the laptop's hidden BIOS settings. If you manage to brick the device, you might need to reset the CMOS by removing the battery—typically a standard coin cell, often yellow and connected through a header instead of a typical power socket. Additionally, you could potentially short some pins on the BIOS chip itself to restore the settings.

huh so it's different from my old 4600H where 4.0ghz was max regardless of number of cores, interesting I think theoretically opening the back would void the warranty but i've done it on others and returned them later no problem so I might try if there's no way of corrupting the bios or bricking it for good

yea so update: you really can't do it as far as I've seen, not even smokeless umaf unlocks those settings; Looks like I'm stuck at least for a while
