Hi, you can adjust the UI size in macOS by changing the display settings. Since your screen appears larger than usual, try going into Display settings and selecting a smaller resolution or scaling option. This should help reduce the visual distortion and make everything look more natural.

Adjust the display scaling so the image remains clear and the screen runs at its full resolution.

I mentioned that using it makes reading on the screen very difficult due to the blurriness.

Yes, all applications are up. I completed a restart as well.

We're checking if the issue involves the primary screen or an external monitor. It looks like the eGPU isn't officially supported, and you're using Sierra.

Sierra is running on my MacBook. The only thing visible is a charger plugged in.

I received your message, but it seems you're referring to a potential issue with Sierra. If you've made any adjustments such as changing screen resolutions via software, that might have caused the problem.

I don’t have any tools that perform this task. My current setup uses Nvidia Web drivers, which only activate when the eGPU is connected. I think I faced this issue in El Capitan and also in Yosemite, but I didn’t bother to adjust scaling settings and just used the bigger interface. Now that I’m running Ubuntu as my main OS, I miss the smaller UI on macOS.

I've reviewed the information about HiDPI scaling issues since Mavericks, though they mainly affect external displays. For your 15" MBP Retina (2013) on Sierra, I don't have a screenshot ready. Check the scaling settings page or adjust relevant options to see if the problem persists. Let me know if you need further guidance!
