Adjust the voltage for your Ryzen 5 PRO processor.
Adjust the voltage for your Ryzen 5 PRO processor.
I aim to lower the CPU voltage as much as possible while keeping its normal performance. However, idle voltage looks higher than expected. I’m trying to understand CPU voltages better and how to adjust them in BIOS. My machine is an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G (3.7GHz base, 4.2GHz boost, 65W TDP) on an Asus TUF Gaming B550M-Plus. Using HWiNFO64, the readings show Core VIDs and effective voltages that seem to reflect what the regulator is supplying. The tool tips clarify these values are for core domains, not actual supply. BIOS settings: VDDCR is off, and the offset is set to -0.13750V. Calibration level is 2. I’m puzzled by the high idle voltage (1.319V) despite a negative offset being applied. Any guidance would be really helpful! Thanks!
