I own an MSI Z390-A Pro and while I understand the DisplayPort out is connected to the built-in graphics chip on the CPU, my CPU lacks a dedicated graphics unit. I'm curious if it's possible to redirect the output to the GPU instead of using an unavailable IGPNU, and also need video to come from there because the GPU port location won't fit in my setup.

You must have an integrated graphics processor to manage any changes in dGPU signals.
