Under settings → personalization → background you have six choices for adjusting the slideshow duration. The longest option allows a change of up to one day. To modify this, you’ll need to edit the registry and look for the relevant key. Thank you!

You likely require third-party tools instead of depending solely on Windows. For most window manager applications, background settings are included in the free version.
