It's frustrating that only my RGB RAM lights up when the computer is off. I think it would be better if putting the PC to sleep or shut it down also turned off those lights. Anyone know how to fix this issue with Corsair Vengeance Pro RAM?
When your computer is idle, the operating system remains active in memory. This indicates that RAM is receiving power, so turning off RGB isn't possible. Consider using hibernation, which saves the OS to the hard drive rather than RAM. Recovery will take longer, but it's assumed RAM is inactive during hibernation.
In iCue navigate to settings, then device settings, and activate Enable full software control. This ensures the RAM LED turns off automatically when the computer enters sleep mode without adjusting brightness. Please be aware you may need to update the RAM firmware, remove all lightning effects, reset everything, and then turn on Enable full software control again.
Thanks in advance, I wasn't aware of that. I'll give it a shot then!
